Video: Making Dreams Happen

Mr. Robert Wilson donated a record $22.5 million to CSP over 5 years. Read about this tremendous gift.

Since summer 2005, Inner-City Scholarship Fund's Cardinal's Scholarship Program (CSP) has been providing low-income families with an option to the public school system. With founding partners, Children's Scholarship Fund and the Endowment for Inner-City Education, the CSP is dedicated to providing tuition assistance for students in grades K-6 who want to enroll in an inner-city Catholic elementary school of the Archdiocese of New York from a public school.

The amount of the scholarship is based on individual families' needs as well as the tuition of a desired school. As long as financial need continues, the scholarships will be renewable every year, through 8th grade, with the condition that the child remains in an ICSF-funded school. These scholarships cover up to 75% of the full cost of tuition, with a maximum amount of $2,100 per student. Scholarships may be awarded to multiple siblings. Each student's family is responsible for the difference in full tuition.

The CSP allowed 6,200 students from throughout the New York Metropolitan Area to attend an ICSF schools last year.

This year, the Cardinal's Scholarship Program will provide more than $10 million in scholarship assistance to some of New York's most underserved families. Every dollar given to the Inner-City Scholarship Fund will be matched 2:1 by our partners, making all donations to this scholarship fund go a long way to supporting underserved youth.
