ICSF Stories

At ICSF we often cite statistics about our programs' high graduation rates or the percentage of our graduates who go on to pursue a college education. But statistics only reveal a small part of ICSF's success. They don't talk about the high school junior who commutes three hours round trip every day to get an education that will give her real options for her future or the ICSF alumnus who's the first in his family to graduate college. They can't describe for you the single mother who lacks a high school diploma but works two full-time jobs to raise enough money to pay tuition so that her young son will have a better life than she'd ever imagined. Statistics can't communicate the inspiration that motivates a young couple–just starting to have children of their own–to really stretch themselves financially so that they can sponsor a Catholic school education for a child less fortunate than their own. In order to truly realize ICSF's power to transform lives you must first understand that our greatest strength is in the true stories of the thousands of students, alumni and donors that ICSF works with every year.
